John Lundstram and loan side Doncaster Rovers continue to sit healthily at the top of League One after a mixed Easter weekend.

Despite slipping to a 1-0 defeat at Coventry on Good Friday, the South Yorkshire side remained on top of the pile with a victory by the same scoreline over Swindon Town on Easter Monday.

Lundstram played the entire 90 minutes in both contests, taking his tally of starts since his late February switch to nine.

Donny are now two points clear of second-place AFC Bournemouth with a game in hand and just five fixtures left.

Fellow Academy graduate Jake Bidwell is hot on the tails of Lundstram's Rovers, as his near-season-long loan at Brentford rolls on.

The left-back was back in the Bees' starting line-up throughout their own Easter weekend double-header - and also experienced varying results over the last few days.

Bidwell conceded a 74th-minute penalty at Griffin Park on Good Friday, but the eventual goal from the rebound did not prove costly, as the hosts had already established a two-goal lead on their way to three points.

But that was followed by defeat on Monday, with MK Dons strengthening their pursuit of a play-off place with a 2-0 home win.

Brentford currently lie in third - five points off Doncaster - and have games in hand over the rest of the top nine sides apart from fourth-placed Sheffield United.

Meanwhile, Magaye Gueye was not selected as Stade Brest continued to struggle in Ligue 1.

Slipping to a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Lille, Landry Chauvin's side dropped into the relegation zone with just 29 points from 30 games.
