It seems Andy Johnson's statement two weeks ago that he is happy at Everton and would like to remain at Goodison for the rest of his career has fallen on deaf ears in some circles.
The striker felt compelled to make that original statement in response to a speculative back page story in the Daily Express claiming he was unhappy on...

Sunday's victory over Arsenal returned Everton to sixth place in the Premiership.
With just eight games left to play, the Blues are one point behind Bolton and one point ahead of Tottenham.
The battle is certainly on for European qualification, with Blackburn, Portsmouth and Reading still very much in the running.
Tottenham may have won each of their last four Premiership games -...

It has been frustrating to hear of a couple of injuries in the last few days...
It was disappointing for Andy Johnson at Wigan. A good win looked like it had been blighted by that injury, but it seems it is not as serious as first thought.
It's a big blow to lose a striker though, and it's been made worse by James...

We did well to win the West Ham game, although it was never going to be a classic bacause of the conditions.
But considering that, and the team we had out - because of injuries - it was a good performance. We showed plenty of endeavour and commitment which I am sure pleased the manager.
It's fair to say West Ham had...
