News has reached evertonfc.com that Goodison Park (the racehorse) will run again on Saturday.
The novice had an encouraging outing on debut a couple of weeks ago but finished outside the places at Newcastle.
But Goodison is back and races at Redcar at 6.20pm, as part of an eight-strong field over seven furlongs.
Our sources at Paddy Power suspect some long odds on...
So it was job done over in Olomouc, not that it was really ever in doubt of course after that four nil first leg victory! Only one real scare and that was the rather harsh dismissal of Tony Hibbert (or was it Gary Hibbert as our official team sheet stated!!........maybe that means he won’t be banned for our first group...
It’s difficult to know where to start really after last week’s opening day debacle.
Strange isn’t it how you look forward all summer to the new season and the big kick off and within the space of 90 minutes (or 45 even!!!) you can then feel totally deflated, wishing you were back on a beach somewhere in the Med!

A quick stop...
There's not long left of the pre-season tour and attention is now firmly on Wednesday's clash with the All-Stars.
There was plenty of ball retention and pressing work at training, as well as some sprint drills to keep everyone razor sharp.
One unusual sight was Tony Hibbert with the goalie gloves on! The full-back borrowed a pair from Tim Howard and faced...
Another Monday and another marathon day of travelling.
The Everton squad were up super-early to catch an 8am flight from Edmonton to Salt Lake City in preparation for Wednesday's All-Star game.
After a slow progression out of the Canadian city and a two-hour flight, the Blues arrived in Utah and were greeted by baking temperature of 30 degrees-plus.
It was swiftly onto the...
After enjoying an evening of baseball earlier in the week, some Everton players were treated to IndyCar action on Sunday.
IndyCar is a motor racing series featuring cars similar to Formula 1 which takes place in North America.
The most recent race was in Edmonton and Blues players were invited to watch the action unfold.
The noise of the engines and speed...
