David Unsworth

Caretaker Manager, May 2016.

Following the departure of Roberto Martinez in May 2016, David Unsworth was installed as caretaker manager prior to the final game of the 2015/16 Premier League season against Norwich City.

Unsworth, assisted by former Blues manager Joe Royle, handed a start to Tim Howard, his last appearance for the club prior to his move to MLS side Colorado Rapids.

He also handed first starts to Under-21s pair Tom Davies and Kieran Dowell, while Jonjoe Kenny made his Blues bow off the bench.

Goals from James McCarthy, Leighton Baines and Kevin Mirallas ended a difficult season on a high and left Unsworth savouring a victory in his brief experience of the Everton hot seat.
