On its recent Kirkdale Impact Day, Everton in the Community was delighted to have the support of leading insurance broker, Kingsbridge Insurance.
The Club’s official charity was named as Kingsbridge’s North West charity partner at the start of 2019 and the Liverpool-based company has committed to supporting EitC in further developing its mental health focused programmes.
As part of its ongoing commitment to Everton in the Community, Kingsbridge employees recently volunteered at the charity’s clean-up day in Kirkdale.
The EitC Neighbourhood team, with the support of Merseyside Police, Onward Homes, Sports Alive and Liverpool City Council have re-introduced the traditional community clean-up days which sees those involved spend time picking up litter, engaging with Liverpool 4 residents and helping to make Kirkdale a more attractive place to live.
The day also had the support from two local primary school who got involved by helping to clean-sweep the area surrounding their schools and carrying out mini-police activities.
Reflecting on the day, Andrew Hess, Kingsbridge Insurance Head of Sales, said “We are extremely proud to be working and supporting the fantastic work that Everton in the Community continue to provide to the local community.
"It was great to see first-hand the direct impact that EitC are making, along with the passion and energy from their staff.
“We are really keen to get further involved with other local initiatives and we would encourage other businesses to speak with EitC to see how they can help”
Sarah Atherton, Everton’s Neighbourhood Manager, added: “It’s great to work in partnership with a business that shares our vision for the local community.
"We are so thrilled Kingsbridge were able to join us for the Kirkdale Impact Day and grateful to them for giving up their time and working hard to clean up the local area.
"Without the ongoing support of businesses like Kingsbridge, we wouldn’t be able to have such a positive impact on our local communities.”
