Less than 24 hours after the likes of Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy have putted the final ball on the 18th green in the final round of the 146th Open Championship, you could be playing on the same iconic course with two people of your choice.

The 2017 Open Championship will be taking place from 20-23 July at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport and on Monday 24 July the Club’s official charity, Everton in the Community, have been given the chance to offer an avid golfer the chance of a lifetime – to bid to play on the course along with two guests and none other than the Blues leading post-war goalscorer, Graeme Sharp.

Teeing off at 3.20pm, the four-ball – which is available by auction only, will have the opportunity to play from Championship tees, with all of the grandstands, media facilities and Open branding still in place – including flags and final round pin positions - giving the players who secure this unique experience the chance to tread in the footsteps of the 2017 Open Champion.
Situated on the golden links of the North West coast in Southport, Royal Birkdale is possibly the finest of all the courses in England and has held more Championship and International events since World War 2 than any other course in the world.

All golf fans are being given the chance to place their bid and the supporter with the highest bid will win the incredible auction item, which also includes:
  • Two nights stay at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool city centre.
  • Breakfast and dinner at the Titanic Hotel's on site restaurant – Stanley's Bar and Grill.
  • An exclusive Goodison Park tour with an Everton Legend for yourself and two friends.
All of the money raised from the winning bid will go towards 'Home Is Where The Heart Is’, a fundraising campaign supported by Everton in the Community which aims to raise £230,000 to fund and develop a living initiative for young homeless people in Liverpool.
