Fancy joining your fellow Blues and taking on the Lake District Eight Peaks Challenge in support of Everton in the Community?
The Club’s official charity has joined forces with Charity Challenge to offer you the opportunity to take part in one of the toughest yet most rewarding challenges in the UK.
Taking place on Saturday 3 September, you will journey through the majestic Lake District as you take on eight peaks in just 12 hours tackling some of England’s most rugged and demanding mountains including Scafell Pike and Great End.
The challenge covers 14 miles of extremely varied terrain involving some steep ascents and descents so trekkers must be fit and confident. The challenge is not for the faint-hearted but the sense of achievement when you finish can only be described as immense.
The registration fee is just £50 with a minimum sponsorship of £275 with monies raised going to Everton in the Community to enable the charity to continue developing ground-breaking programmes to support vulnerable and underprivileged people from across Merseyside. A self-funded option is also available with more information available from Everton in the Community.
If you sign up before 10 July then you will qualify for 16% off your registration fee when you enter code EURO16.
All participants taking part will receive a fundraising pack, branded t-shirt, fitness and training advice as well as a goody bag. On the day there will be a mountain leader and full back-up support team along with three provided meals and snacks plus a medal upon completion.
For further information, or to register your interest, contact Everton in the Community on 0151 530 5253, via email on or alternatively click here.
