Everton in the Community CEO and Deputy CEO of Everton Football Club Denise Barrett-Baxendale has been announced as a panel member for the first Grand Women’s Summit (GWS) at Aintree Racecourse on Friday 10 April.
Hosted by Women in Racing and Aintree Racecourse the Summit will be held on Ladies Day of the Crabbies Grand National Meeting and the charity chief will join an established panel of speakers to discuss gender balance in sport andrseracing.
Also taking a place on the panel will be Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle MBE, Chairman of Aintree Racecourse Rose Paterson and Steve Harman, British Horseracing Authority Chairman.
The Crabbie’s Grand National festival provides a global sporting forum to bring together and celebrate women in horseracing, sport and business. Over 100 guests will be provided with informative and tangible educational, career and networking opportunities while also experiencing one of the largest horseracing festivals in the world.
The summit will be held in the exclusive private facility in The Red Rum Garden and will be available to delegates in the morning for the GWS from 8.15am-10am followed by a course walk by Ladies Day Ambassador Kate Walsh. The venue will also allow delegates to enjoy during the afternoon’s racing and includes a cash bar.
Tickets are priced at £70 for Women in Racing members and £99 for non-members. The price includes entry to the summit, raceday entry ticket to the Earl of Sefton/Earl of Derby enclosure, buffet breakfast with tea and coffee and a champagne reception. Summit-only tickets are available for Women in Racing members for £50 and non-members for £65*.
