Nearly a year after its launch, Everton Traineeships continues to go from strength to strength and now boasts over 60 live opportunities with a plethora of local businesses throughout Merseyside.
The Everton in the Community and Ingeus-led programme offers young people aged 16-24 access to high quality training which helps them to gain the skills, experience and qualifications required to go on to secure an apprenticeship, employment, or further training.
Current vacancies include over 20 Customer Service traineeship roles with companies such as The British Heart Foundation and Claire House, 10 Business Administration placements with Ingeus and Mitie, opportunities in Hospitality & Catering with businesses such as The Brink and The Jury’s Inn, plus a range of Warehousing traineeships with the likes of B & M Stores and TST.
Young people signing-up to the Traineeship gain transferable skills and knowledge which helps prepare them for the working environment, before going on to gain work experience in a reputable local business. At the end of the programme trainees leave having had the opportunity to achieve two nationally recognised qualifications and work experience in an industry of interest to them, ultimately boosting their CV and chances of securing a better future.
“This is an exciting time for Everton Traineeships” said Jeff Bowcock, Programme Manager for Everton Traineeships. “We have some very reputable businesses on board who are all eager to invest in our local young people to enable them to succeed in their lifelong learner journey. We want to ensure we offer our trainees the very best quality work experience possible so that when they go into placement they are able to excel as they will be equipped with the necessary industry skills required beforehand.”
Everton Traineeships will be hosting a number of cohorts on dates including Monday 23 February in Liverpool City Centre, with a focus on customer service. Following this, more industry-specific cohorts will be running throughout March.
