Everton in the Community are one of the leading delivery partners in a new two-year programme called ‘Working Futures’
The two-year programme is part-funded by the European Social Fund and Youth Employment Initiative as part of the wider 2014-20 European Structural Investment Funds.
The charity’s employment arm, Everton 4 Employment will engage with over 200 unemployed young people across Greater Merseyside through delivery of a 12 week programme that provides specialist support in developing employability skills and practices. The programme aims to support 30% of learners into employment and more than 40% into alternative progressions such as Traineeships, Apprenticeships or Further Education.
The programme will provide participants with the opportunity to:
- Meet employers and learn about job sectors and work skills
- Undertake work experience and gain up-to-date references
- Achieve accreditation in First Aid and Leadership Skills
- Develop interview techniques and the skills needed to apply for jobs
- One-to-one mentoring and support
Courses start regularly and are based at Goodison Park as well as other locations across the Liverpool City Region.
