Robert Earl Profile

Robert Earl became a major shareholder in Everton in October 2006, purchasing a significant shareholding from Paul and Anita Gregg.

The US-based businessman, who is originally from London, became a director of the Club in July 2007.

A former president of Hard Rock Cafe, Mr Earl founded Planet Hollywood in 1991.

He is also co-chairman of BHM Gaming Opportunities, the owner of the former Aladdin Casino hotel on the Las Vegas Strip which is now known as Planet Hollywood. Planet Hollywood also owns a global chain of 20 show-business-themed restaurants located primarily in tourist hot spots such as Las Vegas, New York's Times Square, London and Orlando.

Movie star "owners" such as Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger were utilised to endorse the global brand and remain close friends of Mr Earl.
