Everton Football Club has always forged strong links with the community and charity organisations within it.
As a Club we remain committed to helping those less fortunate than ourselves and by using the name of Everton, we can not only help raise funds but also awareness. The Everton Foundation is a charitable organisation run from Goodison Park that provides a focal point for such endeavours. But the Club also names specific charities that receive support in terms of fundraising and promotional appearances from members of the first team squad.
For the 2009/10 season, Everton will be supporting Liverpool Unites and the Everton Foundation.
In 2000 we enlisted the services of Everton legend Graeme Sharp who works daily at Goodison Park co-ordinating the work undertaken with local, national and international charities.
"We try and help as many people as we possibly can and give great consideration to individual circumstances," said Sharpy.
"Obviously we can't facilitate every request but where possible and where appropriate we will assist the cause in question."
