Michael Ball

Liverpool-born left back Ball made his Everton debut aged just 17. He went on to make 116 appearances for the Toffees before joining Glasgow Rangers in August 2001. Following an injury-hit four years north of the border he made a switch to Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven. He won a League title in his first season but found first-team opportunities limited, prompting a move to Manchester City in January 2001.
