Academy Update - July 2010

The Everton Academy welcomed their new intake of scholars to the Club earlier this month.

England Under-17 international Ross Barkley and Under-16 Swedish international Johan Hammar are just two new additions to the Blues' first year scholars.

While several of the youth team were called up to the Reserves' pre-season tour of Scotland last week, the Under-18s welcomed Celtic to Finch Farm for a pre-season friendly.

Meanwhile, the Blues' Under-16s started their Milk Cup defence in Northern Ireland earlier this week as the Club look to retain the trophy for a third consecutive year.

Everton have already claimed their first piece of silverware of the summer as the Under-10s won the BWCI International tournament in Guernsey. A superb strike from Dylan Fletcher saw the young Blues defeat Fulham 1-0 in the final.
