Everton made it five pre-season wins from five on Saturday with victory against Norwich and though David Moyes admitted he wanted more from his side, he is pleased the Blues are already in the swing of winning.
A Tim Cahill hat-trick and a stunning effort from Diniyar Bilyaletdinov gave Everton a 4-2 victory over their Championship hosts to build on previous wins over Sydney FC, Melbourne Heart, Brisbane Roar and Preston North End.
Speaking to evertontv, the manager said: "It's pre-season and it wouldn't have made a great deal of difference if we had won or lost, accept I want us to get in the habit (of winning).
"I'm probably more disapopinted with our overall performance than in other games but I've worked the players quite hard this week and I knew that there was always the chance that this would be the game where we would dip a little."
Norwich, who levelled after Everton had led 2-0, start their league campaign next weekend and Moyes said Paul Lambert's side proved the Blues' toughest test yet.
"I thought Norwich played well, passed it well and this was the their last game before the season starts so it was a lot more competitive than the other games.
"Look, we did fine. We were just too slack at the beginning of the second half. The changes we made really affected us and we gave them one or two opportunities that we shouldn't have."

Aaaargh, Stop with the constant verbal beatings of Hibbo and ask yourselves this if he isn't good enough for the team, how the hell does he get to play year after year, do you not think DM would have dropped him long before now? seriously come on think about it!!!! players have bad games thats part and parcel of the game, but its not always their own fault, LAY OFF MR BLUE THRU AND THRU, and support him OR S.T.F.U..... Hibbo is a solid no nonsence defender and deserves his place in the squad. Rant over..... ;>()

im glad we are keeping the winning habit going and expect us to take it into the season. with a bit of luck injury-wise i believe we can do something. europe should be the minimum expectancy and i really think we should be reaching another final - too many times recently a team of lesser capability than us have reached finals and i want a piece of the action!

Billy came on for Gueye on the right and cut inside at every opportunity. To be fair Gueye finished the 1st half on the left as Pienarr was getting a bit of rough treatment down that side but the second half Pienaar was on the left and Bily on the right

I agree with those sticking up for our Hibbo although I dont think anyone can dent the fact that Seamus Coleman is proving to be a better all round right back for the blues. Gives us so much going forward. I hope he gets a crack in the first team this year!!!

Yobo on the other hand had been suspect in defence for quite some time. I always get a little trepidacious every time they bring him on (sometimes we have no choice of course, what with injuries). Maybe the lad is just past it, but I feel that his performances have been consistantly shaky for a season or two now. I hate to suggest getting rid of any Everton players, especially those that aren't trying to leave. But what is the remedy? I don't think he is worth keeping.... Sorry Yobo. I feel bad for saying it.
