Under 18s Looking To Stay Top

Everton Under-18s go into this weekend's league clash with Middlesbrough looking to consolidate their position at the top of the table.

Neil Dewsnip's youngsters will also be hoping to bounce back from Tuesday night's Liverpool Senior Cup defeat against Skelmersdale United, although it was a less-experienced side that took to the field at College Stadium.

Dewsnip told evertonfc.com that the squad will be stretched a little more between now and the end of the season as there are reserve fixtures to fulfil.

"We will obviously be looking to stay at the top and also be competitive, although there are reserve games to play before the season is out.

"But whatever team we put out, they'll be giving it their best go to maintain our good position at the top."

If the Blues can repeat the success of their last visit to Boro in December - a 1-0 win in the FA Youth Cup - they will stay top.
